More heat is lost through the walls of your home than by any other route. If your home is uninsulated you could be losing as much as 35% of the heat that is being produced from within your home! Reducing the amount of heat lost through the walls will therefore help to retain the heat in your home for longer and help to reduce heating bills by up to 35%. If the loft insulation in your home is insufficient (less than 270 mm ), you could be losing up to 25% of your homes heat this way. This adds up to a 60% loss!!

Grants & Eligibility
Households receiving the following benefits are within the priority group, and could receive full funding towards the cost of insulation measures provided under this scheme.
- Council tax benefit
- Housing Benefit
- Income Support
- Income-based job seekers allowance
- Attendance allowance
- Disability Living Allowance
- War disablement pension which includes either a mobility supplement or constant attendance allowance
- Disablement pension which includes constant attendance allowance
- State pension credit
- Child tax credit where the relevant income is £15,592 or less
- Working tax credit where the relevant income is £15,592 or less
- Over 70 years of age (birth certificate required as confirmation)
